Nicholas and Baseball

I realized looking at my blog, that I didn't have photos or updates about Nicholas. So prior to Friday nights game, I got Nick out front in his uniform ready to play ball. And play he did! His team won 3-1 and he had a great hit and a great catch at shortstop! (I didn't even realize that he had caught the ball, and I don't know if Nick realized it at first) But he did and it was a great play! I will try and get some better photos of Nick in action. The Bodnar household is very busy in the coming 1 1/2 weeks. We have someone playing, practicing or coaching every night until June 12! Crazy! And in the middle of all that Tyler turns 18yrs. old, he graduates from HS, I start Biology, I need to cook wings this Wednesday and we need to sleep and eat in there too. Oh, and I guess school is still in session. So I will update when I get a chance and try to keep everyone up to date with the Bodnar family.

Memorial Weekend

The unofficial start to summer has ended and we all had a great weekend, no matter what state we were in! L.Michael had a fantastic tournament weekend down in Delaware. It was a huge complex and there were 10teams in his division. They ended up in 2nd place over all, making it all the way to the championship game, but unfortunately loosing 12-11. It was a tough loss, but it was a fantastic game. The team they played has a record of 54-2, and alot of the fans and the coaches said that our team was the best competition they have had in a long time. So we were very proud of the boys for how they played this weekend.
Up home, the rest of the Bodnar clan also had a good weekend. They had to dodge some nasty thunderstorms but, overall they had a great weekend too. The boat was in the river and there were chairs up in the rapids (Derek). There was of course baseball happening up here as well and Nicholas and his team won there 3rd game I believe. Go Pirates!
Yesterday (Tuesday) I began a quick 8 week class over at NCC and have some reading to do today. I also start Biology on about June 8. So, even though my spring semester is over, I still have school this summer. Almost done.
Will post some photos of Michael's weekend. They are of course baseball, but I thought you would like to see anyways. Ciao!

WOO-HOO!!!!!

As you all know, I had 2 classes this past semester, Foundations of Education and Intro to Statistics and my final grades are in and I got 2-A's!!!!!!! Not one, but 2! I cannot believe it. Worked hard in both classes, but, stats was by far a HUGE challenge for me (as anyone who was in NH with me over President's Weekend would know) Anyways, the semester is officially over and I did it. (Patting myself on the back right now) Yeah for me!

Memorial Weekend coming up!

Well, Memorial Day Weekend is upon us again and for the first time, I think ever, I will not be spending it with my husband and Nicholas. Instead L.Michael and I are heading out Thursday night for Rehobeth Beach for his next tournament. Yup, we are hopefully beating the holiday traffic by getting a days head start. We will arrive Thursday night and have Friday to go SPLAT, hopefully on the beach. Water will no doubt be cold, but, I'm certain the kids won't mind. Michael has 2 games on Saturday, 2 games on Sunday and than at least 1 more on Monday, with the possibility of more. This of course all depends on how they do. We have rented a 5-bedroom house and will be with 4 other familes from the team. We are all looking forward to this weekend, as we all get along fairly well. While L.Michael and I are down in Delaware, B.Michael and Nicholas will be holding down the fort, well, holding down the camper, as they will be spending the holiday weekend at Tri-boro. They of course have baseball as well, but, from what I hear, tent camping, fishing and roasting marhmallows and hotdogs on the fire are on the agenda. And the weekend weather looks like it will be nice, compared to the cooler, frosty weather we have had this week. So, Happy Memorial Day to all, and I will post some photos and updates when I can!!!

Finals week

Today is Friday and I have my last final today!!!!! Yeah!!!!!!!!! I cannot believe this semester is over..I thought Statistics was going to go on FOREVER!!!!....I have my stats final from 1-3pm today...so I will be very happy this afternoon...I had my education final this past Wednesday, which was fairly easy. Not to brag or anything, ok, I'm going to brag, I could have skipped the final and still gotten an A! I am proud though....Next up is a 1-credit class that begins May 26 and goes 2x a week for about 5weeks......And in the middle of that I begin Contemporary Biology....Already got my syllabus and assignments for that class....will be busy again this summer...
Mike has been away this week on his annual fishing trip. Left Monday evening and is coming home this afternoon. Missing him especially because its been busy between studying and finals and baseball and the boys....But we survived, as we always do. Ciao

Mother's Day and Michael's 11th Birthday!!!

Happy Mother's Day to all!!! It has turned out to be a beautiful day outside, a bit cool and windy, but nice. We started out this morning with a drive out to Cabela's to get L.Michael a fly-fishing pole for his birthday. Had some lunch on the way home and than having a dinner of steak and potatoes and salad for dinner. And yes, it says 11th b-day for Michael. This is the first time since he was born that his b-day has ended up on Mother's Day again. So we are sharing the day. I made his b-day cake, which was a baseball field, and we celebrated it last night w/half the family. Will finish off his b-day today w/the rest of the family. Will post a picture of my masterpiece! Hope everyone has/is enjoying their Mother's Day. Oh, and Derek and Leanne, as you can see, the party lights are back up!!!
