Well, here I sit..it is January 2, 2011....crazy how fast a year has gone. NYE was good...unfortunately my husband got called out to work to fix a major water main break and was gone from 330pm-1030pm...luckily he made it to us before the clock struck midnite. At about 9am on NYDay.....the phones started ringing again and there was another problem. So he was again gone for hours....he fixed the one problem, but than drove around trying to find another problem. By 7pm, he was with us again, but it was a very long day and he was exhausted. NYDay for us was a day full of football, snacking and of course pork and sauerkraut. (an absolute must for us Americans on NYDay)...we have all had a sleep in today and we are planning on taking the boys to go and spend some gift cards they received for Xmas. It is also going to be a day of going through backpacks that have been in the computer room for over 1 1/2 weeks now. School is back in session tomorrow for basically the 2nd half of the year and we all need to get back in the groove of waking up and going to school and work.
I do hope my friends down under had a wonderful NYE....from what I've read, it sounds like you all had a good night. We missed Sydney's celebration by about 15min. so we watched it online. It looked wonderful!....the boys kept yelling, we were there...we saw that!.....
