Missing my bestie....
As I type this, I await the phone to ring...it is 11:11pm on Saturday night and I just chatted with H2 a few minutes in Hawaii.....I missed Leanne by a few minutes!!! UGH!!! Derek said he is running to try and find her and will have her call me....as I wait, I sit here on my back deck with a boubon and coke in hand....just as we would if she were sitting here with me....but alas, you are a few thousand miles away from me still...with that said, today was an absolutely gorgeous day....the sun was shining, we got alot accomplished and we had a wonderful grill out on our back deck with Joe and Jen and girls across the street. It was a lovely dinner (if I do say so myself)....(as I cooked it all).....and we headed over to there house so the kids could swim a bit and cool off....ohhh...you just rang!!!! woot-woot!!!...Oh, it was so very good talking with you...will definately catch up with you again this week!!!.. Ok, I am now tired...it is now 11:41pm..need to get to bed....hope you were able to catch the free luau on the beach!....and cheers to you all!!!!!!

Our day of picking....
After Michael cut pop-pop's lawn and Nick weedwacked, we headed down to Tri-boro to pick some red raspberries, before the birds get them all....and pick we did!!!! We hit it at the best time!...we had been watching and watching for the bright red color to appear and yesterday we saw some, so we decided to see what we could find.....we found ALOT!...and yes, we left some for the birds....Nick and I already made a banana/raspberry bread which is awesome and picture below...I'm freezing some and just eating...YUM-YUM!!
What a weekend!!
Our weekend was a fun filled one!....Saturday morning started early as Nick had to be at the ready for his baseball game at 815am...and ready the whole team was. They played a great game and they were winning going into the 6th inning and than unfortunately a few errors and a few runs in by the other team and our boys lost the game. So they ended up finishing 3rd place in the playoffs, which is nothing to be upset about.
During Nick's game, our newest member of the Bodnar family, Mr. Chase Robert Bodnar, was being baptized into the church. (Nick and I missed, Mike and Mike represented our immediate family)...after the baptism, Mike and Mike than trekked up to the game and they were able to see most of the game. The boys were a bit upset after their loss, and the tears for some, flowed all the way home. Luckily, one of the families offered up their lovely home with inground pool for the boys to have a year end picnic. And for the Bodnar boys, this picnic was sandwiched in between the picnic celebrating baby Chase!...luckily, they were only a few blocks away, so myelf, Nick and Mike went to the baseball party and big Mike stayed at the family party. After 5 hours of swimming, we headed back to the family and the boys were still able to play and have fun with the cousins there. The night ended with a lovely display of fireworks as we watched from a great vantage point down the street. (Mike and Nick watched from Uncle Chris's rooftop)...
And yesterday was a day of recouping and sleeping in...and than leftovers back at Chris and Jen's!...(who doesn't love leftovers after a picnic?)..anyways..it was a great summer weekend enjoyed by all...below is a photo of the boys at the picnic.. and Leanne, those are still the same board shorts you sent to Nick 2 years ago at Xmas time. (I think I may be able to let out the tuck I put in them to keep them up)

Local Fair fun...
It is hard to believe that our 4th of July holiday weekend has come and gone. It was a nice weekend with chilling around the campfire, heading off to picnics, seeing some incredible fireworks and not 1, but 2 rafting trips down the river. The boys baseball season is coming to an end. Coach Mike and L.Mike's seasons are over, but Nicholas and his team keep winning. They have another tonight, against the number 1 team in his league. Last time they played this team they lost 13-1, so not sure how it will go. If they win, they continue on, if they lose, their season is over. As much as I would like to be fnished with baseball, I do hope they beat the number 1 team. Will let you know how it goes. Last night, Nick and 2 of his baseball friends (and just friends in general) went to the local community fair. It was "wristband" night last night. Buy a wrist band and ride all the rides you want for 3 hours. And from what I heard from the mom who took the 3 boys, they certainly took advantage of that! They ended their night with some funnel cake and some ice cream. Will let you know how the game goes!

PS.....Nick won his game 6-2!!!! They beat the #1 team and they move on again. Next game is Saturday at 10am...(the same time as baby Chase's baptism)..
