Ice Storm...

Today was day #2 of our snow/ice storm. And yup, we were all off today. Mike did make it into work today, he said the roads were "ok" on the way in. So the boys and I slept in, until the power went out and the refrigerator alarm went off. I made some breakfast and we watched a movie together. We than went outside and chipped away at the ice and shoveled our way to the bottom of the driveway. It was very tiresome and seemed like it took forever, but we did it. We came in, had lunch, took showers and than took naps-well I did, anyways....The boys went outside later in the afternoon and went snowboarding in the back field. Tomorrow we are back to school- Yeah!!!...here is a photo of the boys in the back field today.

Ice storm....

Well, today is Tuesday, February 1, 2011 and we were off today-again-due to weather...and tomorrow is going to be worse!...the school I work for is already closed tomorrow, just waiting on the boys school to close....the issue is this...a HUGE storm system that is heading our way, but it is bringing ICE with it, instead of snow...and ice is sooooo much worse than snow.....they are thinking we may get 3/4 of an inch of ice, which will mean downed power lines and downed trees...so this is not good!...so to my friends in the southern hemisphere, I wish we had some of your hot weather...also to my friends in the southern hemisphere, hoping you are staying safe from the excessive heat and the flooding and the cyclone that is due to hit the northern part of your country...and since I have no school tomorrow, I think I will make myself a drink!...cheers!!!!

PS...the boys are now off tomorrow as well.....
