Well, hello there....

Well, than...I guess it's been quite some time since I've said hello....wanted to share a photo of "Spring" here in PA....Yup, this photo was taken on Wednesday morning which was the 3rd day of spring....we got hit with a spring snow storm....was a strange storm as we had "thunder snow" and lightning...just like in a thunderstorm...it was crazy....anyways....that was Wed. Today is Friday morning and I'm thankful it is Friday.

Let's see, what else is happening? ...Well, even though we had snow, it is baseball season...and the boys were supposed to have started with baseball on Wed. and last night...but was xcld due to snow on the field...hopefully it will on be gone today and tomorrows practice will take place.

The boys are doing well...school is good, grades are good and both boys are ready for baseball season....as I type this Nicholas is slowly waking up next to me in bed....and Mike and Mike are just leaving for school and work. I need to get my butt moving.

Ice Storm...

Today was day #2 of our snow/ice storm. And yup, we were all off today. Mike did make it into work today, he said the roads were "ok" on the way in. So the boys and I slept in, until the power went out and the refrigerator alarm went off. I made some breakfast and we watched a movie together. We than went outside and chipped away at the ice and shoveled our way to the bottom of the driveway. It was very tiresome and seemed like it took forever, but we did it. We came in, had lunch, took showers and than took naps-well I did, anyways....The boys went outside later in the afternoon and went snowboarding in the back field. Tomorrow we are back to school- Yeah!!!...here is a photo of the boys in the back field today.

Ice storm....

Well, today is Tuesday, February 1, 2011 and we were off today-again-due to weather...and tomorrow is going to be worse!...the school I work for is already closed tomorrow, just waiting on the boys school to close....the issue is this...a HUGE storm system that is heading our way, but it is bringing ICE with it, instead of snow...and ice is sooooo much worse than snow.....they are thinking we may get 3/4 of an inch of ice, which will mean downed power lines and downed trees...so this is not good!...so to my friends in the southern hemisphere, I wish we had some of your hot weather...also to my friends in the southern hemisphere, hoping you are staying safe from the excessive heat and the flooding and the cyclone that is due to hit the northern part of your country...and since I have no school tomorrow, I think I will make myself a drink!...cheers!!!!

PS...the boys are now off tomorrow as well.....

Well, here I sit..it is January 2, 2011....crazy how fast a year has gone. NYE was good...unfortunately my husband got called out to work to fix a major water main break and was gone from 330pm-1030pm...luckily he made it to us before the clock struck midnite. At about 9am on NYDay.....the phones started ringing again and there was another problem. So he was again gone for hours....he fixed the one problem, but than drove around trying to find another problem. By 7pm, he was with us again, but it was a very long day and he was exhausted. NYDay for us was a day full of football, snacking and of course pork and sauerkraut. (an absolute must for us Americans on NYDay)...we have all had a sleep in today and we are planning on taking the boys to go and spend some gift cards they received for Xmas. It is also going to be a day of going through backpacks that have been in the computer room for over 1 1/2 weeks now. School is back in session tomorrow for basically the 2nd half of the year and we all need to get back in the groove of waking up and going to school and work.

I do hope my friends down under had a wonderful NYE....from what I've read, it sounds like you all had a good night. We missed Sydney's celebration by about 15min. so we watched it online. It looked wonderful!....the boys kept yelling, we were there...we saw that!.....

So to all my friends and family.....here is to a Happy and healthy New Year!....Cheers....

14years!!!

Today is our anniversary....14years ago, we got married...it rained in the morning and was pretty cloudy outside, but that didn't deter us......if we were getting married today, the sun would be shining and blinding us off the white snow on the ground and we would be freezing....as it feels like 18F...or to convert for my southern hemisphere friends, that is -8C....

The Days following Xmas.....

Well, here it is...the 27th of December and Christmas Day has come and gone...it was a wonderful day...very relaxing...very happy, especially since I was able to "talk" with my bestie Leanne..we had a houseful of family again with good food and great laughter. Sorry to say, I did not take any photos of Christmas day later in the afternoon...just the morning....we did have a few snow flakes fall that night......yesterday we had more snow.. we were supposed to get alot more, but the majority of snow fell to the east of us and we ended up with only a few inches. Now we are contending with the wind and the drifting of the snow. It is very cold, very windy and just not nice outside today. (hoping my husband is staying warm at work) as I sit here typing this in my warm bed, on my new laptop, I can hear the wind whipping and blowing outside...I bet the coast in Batemans' Bay is ALOT warmer than here!...

Well, how about this...it's Christmas day and I am already posting pictures from last night and this morning!!! Crazy...it just might snow...no really, it may snow today.....well, to all my friends in Australia, I was glad to read that you had a hot Christmas day....the photos of you all on the beach are so far from the long sleeve shirt, sweater and big wooly socks I have on right now....Last night we had Holy night dinner down at Rogers house...it was very good and the boys did not disappoint with the eating of the garlic....they all stink today!....the kids opened up presents last night from that side of the family, as today, Christmas Day, we are not all together...everyone made out very nicely as you will see down below.....I will try and put some comments at each picture to explain down below......

So, there you have it up until now....it is just after 2pm on Christmas Day and very shortly I will be serving dinner of Ham and smoked Turkey...homemade filling...veggies...fresh cranberry sauce..salad and rolls and gravy......Will continue to take photos and update later tonight!...I hope everyone has enjoyed this showing of extremely updated photos!!!!!!
